Tonight was the first night of EDMD 7200 with Dr. Wolf. It was a little overwhelming. It seems we will cover a lot of material. By the end of class I felt Dr. Wolf will keep us challenged and provide the kind of feedback to ensure we grasp the concepts and can produce the products that the class is designed to teach us. It helps to have J.T. in the class. I know him and had several classes with him before. J.T. and I are on very similar paths in our doctoral program. We are both in Special Education. My focus is autism and his is behavior disorders (they fall under the same heading). I chose EDMD as my minor because, after talking to J.T., I thought I would enjoy it and EDMD would have practical applications in whatever professional role I might find myself. EDMD seemed fresh and new. In fact, most of this will be so new that I know I will have a million questions before I finally ‘get” many of our assignments.
